East London, also known as Buffalo City, lies at the heart of the Inyathi Buffalo route in the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa. Although it is one of South Africa’s smallest major cities, East London is filled with historical depth, a variety of cultures, beautiful people and sandy beaches. It is adjacent to one of these spectacular beaches that the East London International Convention Centre (ELICC) is located.

Positioned on the Esplanade the ELICC has magical views of the Indian Ocean and is only a 15 minute drive from the East London Airport, the Industrial Development Zone and all major industries, and offers a fresh Eastern Cape alternative to the Business Tourism sector, locally and internationally.

The Exhibition Centre has been developed as a multi-purpose facility and can host stage events, exhibitions, banquets, cocktail functions and a great deal more.

For Exhibitions, the Exhibition Centre can easily accommodate 90 shell scheme stands at 3m x 3m.

The dimensions of the Exhibition Centre is as follows:
Width: 45.7m
Length: 50.4m
Ceiling Height: 4.1m

Capacity:
1 400 School Room
2 150 Cinema
1 500 Banquet
2 000 Cocktail
90 3mx3m Shell Scheme Stands

TOA's D-901 Digital Mixer with relevant input and output modules as well as the D-911 with 12 inputs and 8 outputs as well as 8 programmable control swithes gives the centre total control of the BGM content as well as paging and commercial announcements. We made use of F-2852C wide dispersion full-range ceiling speakers with complimenting HX-5B compact array speakers and FB-120B sub-woofers. TOA's PE-304 pendant speakers and wide dispersion F-122 30W ceiling speakers were also used. The use of TOA wireless microphones (WM-5000 series) and YW-4500 antenna give the centre management total control and flexibility of the promotions arena. TOA's IP-600D (2x600W) amplifiers were used to reinforce the high quality sound.
